About Pegamachos:
Through AI-generated imagery Costa Rican artist Matías Sauter Morera reimagines a legendary, yet largely invisible, gay community in 1970s–80s Costa Rica. The work navigates themes of gender, freedom of expression, queer memory, and historical erasure—melding speculative visual archives with deeply personal narratives.
